whojiayi: oh your so plasma

last sunday, 5th of december, this blog turned one years old… woohoo. but actually i’ve been blogging since 2006, but my blog is known to ‘die fast’. read the very first post to know why x)

anyways, dikaios jiemin and i got into the first round of science mentorship program(: even though we submitted the application forms a week after the deadline lol! which was supposed to be on day of the class outing. so now those peeps who saw me on the bus will know the reason why i was so pissed off. ahy. so yesterday when i checked the website and realised i’ve got in, i went mad. literally. i was screaming and jumping around the house lmao. my cute little sister also joined in afterwards C:

so what we’re gonna do now, is to discuss and apply for 5 most preferred projects, which are set by mentors from the respective institutions such as NUS, NIE, and DSTA. there are just tons of project to choose from and we couldn’t finish our discussion after typing away on msn for one and half hours. there are some weird ones, such as “Analysis of Local Chinese Singaporean's Names” I wonder what we’re gonna do if we got that one.. obviously the tans and lims will pwn the hus.

there’re also really cool ones like “Light Saber: How to use atmospheric plasmas for death(of harmful microbes) and destruction (of harmful chemicals)?” where we get to work with potentially hazardous biological agents. omg how awesome is that?! i hope we can get that one(: dikaios is particularly interested teehee.

and this science mentorship programme will need a lot of commitments, obviously... if selected we will have to go down to whichever institutes we are assigned for two days per week and for the first two weeks of june holidays we are suppose to go there and do experiments everyday lol.
